Zooming to events that are currently visible

When an event is selected, but that event is already in view on the map, the map extents/zoom should not change. Currently, if you zoom out and select an event the map is zoomed/panned to the event. This doesn't happen all the time, but if you click around on different events you should see the extents update at least once when it is unnecessary.
