Sort Order Not Honored on Initial Load

It looks like the sort order control for newest/oldest and largest/smallest is working just fine. However, on initial load the geojson feed is loaded onto the map, but it is not sorted. Make sure that whatever option is selected that the sort order is accurate on the list and on the map.
