Expand supported browsers in .browserslistrc
There are some users of older versions of windows, Internet Explorer, iOS, iOS Safari, and other older browsers. Do we want to try and expand our browser support?
Questions to answer:
- What percentage of our users use browsers that meet our "modern" standard (two versions back)?
- How much would it bloat our bundle to expand our browser support?
Angular makes it easy to expand support by updating .browserslistrc
to include css polyfills for older browsers. Autoprefixer looks for the browserslist configuration when it prefixes your CSS.
https://github.com/browserslist/browserslist
We currently support the last two versions of all browsers, as well as any browser with 0.5% global usage statistics.
Actually, now that I am reading this, we might want to decrease our coverage, or at least scope the browserslistrc to "last 2 major versions", or bump support to "> 1%"
