Hello! Here are the notes that I jotted down while going through the site. Overall, I found the website engaging and easy to follow.
-
First Paragraph: "People may be more vulnerable to water insecurity due to demographic characteristics, health, living conditions, socioeconomic status, risk perception, land tenure, and exposure to stressors (like drought or pollution)." Should it be "People may be more or less vulnerable" to emphasize that there can be a positive or negative relationship?

I think a sentence at the end of the first paragraph could be nice to set up the reader to look at the plot. Something like "Below is a chart that visualizes how researchers..."
-
Missing link for "derailing of the train carrying hazardous chemicals in East Palestine, Ohio"
-
I have not heard of the term "Choropleth map" before, but I think there is enough context to figure it out.
-
Household Sizes: Missing a period after "Displayed below is a county level map of percent occupied households where counties with the greatest percent occupied households, in dark blue, include Dakota County, Minnesota; Lincoln County, South Dakota; and Scott County, Minnesota"
-
Household Sizes: I'm not making the connection between "Household Sizes", the statistically significant indicators (i.e., "household size, female-headed households, female population, and percentage of females in the labor force"), and the county level map of "percent occupied households".
-
Income Inequality: If lower income is an indicatory of water insecurity, maybe the choropleth map caption should show report both lowest and highest household median income?
-
Renter Disparity: The first sentence, "As median rent values go up, water insecurity tends to go down, likely reflecting greater access to resources for wealthier populations", relates to the choropleth map of "median gross rent". The choropleth map for household median income looks pretty similar to the median gross rent. However, the discussion about renters vs. homeowners isn't really reflected in the map. Is there another dataset from the census that could be plotted? Maybe "percent of housing units that are owner-occupied" (https://www.census.gov/acs/www/about/why-we-ask-each-question/ownership/)

"meta-analysis" and "water security" tooltip is really nice. Other things that I think could maybe use a tooltip:
- choropleth map
- the determinants, i.e., demographic characteristics, health, living conditions, etc.
- percent occupied households
- intersectionality
- environmental justice
