Rotate IRIS data to proper coordinates
Properly constructed IRIS (vector) metadata should have azimuth
and dip
angles defined in their inventories (that is, in their station.xml). There is an obspy Stream method that can use these inventory values to rotate the data into ZNE coordinates:
So, in the IRIS factory only (for now), we should:
- retrieve the inventory for IRIS magnetic vector channels "?FZ, ?F1, and ?F2"
- retrieve a Stream with ?FZ, ?F1, and ?F2 traces, regardless of whether all three were requested
- apply the rotation to the Stream
- return the stream with all vector components
