This provides basic component functionality using the facade etc... from #15 (closed) and #18 (closed). Styling for component will be handled in a subsequent sprint.

WIP status can be resolved once the dependent issues are complete and merged. Then this branch will required a rebase and cleaning up on the failed pipeline.
