@asnyder -- this one is a little funny, It only works with 2d lon/lat coordinates. Can you look it over and see if it works for stac?
@rmcd -- I'd like to figure out how to do timeseries plots for qa of these rewrites. Is there a quick n dirty way to look at timeseries in a notebook?
